1. Project Introduction
Binance Coin (BNB) is the native token of Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20) and Binance Chain (BEP-2). Initially launched on the Ethereum blockchain in 2017, BNB is now used for all operations within the Binance ecosystem. Binance Coin was introduced through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2017, where half of its strictly capped 200 million tokens were sold to the public, with the remaining portion allocated to angel investors and founding members.

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), Founder – In 2001, CZ joined Bloomberg as the Head of Tradebook Futures Development. He worked at the company for four years before joining Fusion Systems as a partner. Since 2013, CZ has been actively involved in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, serving as Head of Development at Blockchain and founding BijieTech in 2015. In 2017, he officially launched Binance and has been its CEO ever since.
He Yi, Co-founder – Yi started her career in 2012 as a TV presenter and host at China Travel Television. Later, in 2014, she co-founded OKCoin, which was China’s largest fiat-to-crypto exchange at the time. In 2017, she partnered with CZ to launch Binance.
Funding: Binance raised $15M through an ICO in July 2017.
